Quinn speaks at biofuels meeting

CHAMPAIGN - Lt. Governor Pat Quinn spoke at a meeting of the Biofuels Task Force on the South Farm at the University of Illinois. Quinn joined with local industry leaders to discuss action plans to increase the production and usage of alternative fuels across the state of Illinois.  The meeting coincided with the theme of this year's Agronomy Day, which was "Energizing Agriculture."

Quinn, Froehlich propose amendment to reform pay raise system

CHICAGO - Following the overwhelming response from more than 17,000 Illinois taxpayers who joined an online petition drive demanding a full Senate vote to reject unfair and undeserved pay raises, Lt. Governor Pat Quinn joined with Rep. Paul Froehlich (D-Schaumburg) to propose a constitutional amendment to reform the Illinois Compensation Review Board, an automatic political pay raise machine that has plagued state government for decades.
